Co-op begins each year in September and finishes at the beginning of May.
We meet on Mondays for two semesters during the school year from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We do have a 5-6 week break during the Christmas/New Year holiday, and we also take a week off for Thanksgiving and Spring Break.
At City Central Co-op, all women serve in a classroom for half of the day to teach and love on the children. New members of Co-op will function as helper teachers during their first semester, and then at some point, each woman will be required to assume the responsibility of head teaching a class, with support from the other members of Co-op.
During the other half of her day, each woman participates in Mom’s Time, which is a place where community among the women is cultivated. Women are offered rest, coffee and refreshments while they share, support, pray, and participate together in Bible-based teaching.
Co-op fees cover facility costs, snacks for women and children, Bible study materials, classroom and cleaning supplies, and other supplies needed to run co-op’s day-to-day operations. There are payment plan options that can be arranged with the treasurer before the start of each semester.
